Full Credential Description

Aon's 2023 HR Future Focus Survey highlighted significant challenges faced by HR professionals regarding employee financial wellness amidst rising cost of living concerns. The survey revealed a stark cognitive dissonance between what HR leaders believe they are providing in terms of financial support and how employees perceive that support. Specifically, while 59% of HR professionals felt their organizations were doing enough to support employee financial wellness, the neuroscientific score indicated only 20% of employees felt the same, resulting in a notable 39% gap. This discrepancy suggests that many employees are struggling with financial commitments, which could adversely affect their wellbeing and productivity. To address these issues, Aon utilized its Neurotech® listening tool, Reflection®, to gain deeper insights into employee sentiments. The tool captures both traditional and neuroscientific scores, revealing a significant gap in perceptions of financial support. For instance, only 24% of employees felt they were coping with the cost of living crisis, despite 53% of HR professionals believing they were adequately supported. Similarly, only 20% felt confident about their financial future, compared to 51% of HR leaders who thought their employees were secure. The survey also indicated that while health and wellbeing are valued within organizations, there remains a critical need for enhanced support systems. For example, 65% of HR professionals believed that employees were encouraged to live healthily, but the neuroscientific score was much higher at 85%, indicating a strong belief in the importance of health initiatives. Aon’s findings emphasize the necessity for businesses to bolster their support for employee resilience, particularly in light of the current economic climate, to improve overall workforce wellbeing and performance.
