Aon

Full Credential Description

Aon identified several blind spots in employee health and wellbeing strategies that organizations were facing, particularly in the context of the shift from treatment to prevention. The primary issues included reliance on lagging data, which only provided retrospective insights into employee health, and the lack of access to leading data that could predict future health issues based on lifestyle factors. Additionally, the accuracy of health data was compromised by the rise of remote working and presenteeism, where employees continued to work despite being unwell, leading to underreported absence data. To address these challenges, Aon partnered with Vitality to launch Britain’s Healthiest Workplace, a comprehensive employee listening survey aimed at UK businesses with 20 or more employees. This initiative utilized evidence-based, longitudinal data collected since 2012 to provide deep insights into employees' lifestyle, physical, and mental health. The survey allowed employers to benchmark their health and wellbeing strategies against competitors, identify key trends, and ultimately improve business outcomes such as productivity and retention. As a result of this tailored solution, 520 organizations and 185,000 employees participated in the survey, establishing it as the UK’s largest employee listening initiative. The independent management of the survey by experts in public health and workplace wellbeing ensured credibility and provided employers with actionable insights. This enabled organizations to build a strong business case for health initiatives and secure necessary funding, significantly enhancing their understanding of workforce health and wellbeing.
