Aon

Full Credential Description

Aon has made a long-term commitment to Indigenous Canada, focusing on providing tailored insurance and risk management solutions to meet the unique needs of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. The specific challenges faced by these communities often include inadequate risk evaluation, high insurance costs, and a lack of access to comprehensive insurance products. To address these issues, Aon developed the NationsPLUS™ program, which offers broad, customized insurance coverage that caters specifically to the exposures of Indigenous governments and economic development corporations. The NationsPLUS™ program includes various specialized products such as accidental death and dismemberment coverage for community members, aviation insurance tailored for both commercial and personal needs, and a community assets and risk management program that provides a "municipal-type" insurance solution. This program is designed to offer limits and coverages that are generally broader than those available in the traditional marketplace. Additionally, Aon provides risk identification and strategic advice for loss prevention, ensuring long-term rate and coverage stability for its clients. As a result of these tailored solutions, Aon has successfully supported over 400 Indigenous clients across Canada, enabling them to achieve competitive pricing and enhanced risk management capabilities. The program not only improves access to insurance but also fosters trust through local agents and frequent on-site meetings with community leaders, ultimately leading to better service and support for Indigenous communities in managing their unique risks.
