Full Credential Description
FWD Group, a pan-Asian life insurance business, faced challenges in employee engagement and wellbeing, particularly in addressing stress and burnout among its workforce. To tackle these issues, FWD launched the FWD LiveLife program in 2021, which is a strategic, integrated wellbeing initiative that focuses on five key pillars: purpose and meaning, emotional health, financial wellness, physical health, and social connectedness. This holistic approach not only aligns with employees' needs but also facilitates tracking progress across various health dimensions. To ensure the program's effectiveness, FWD established a Wellbeing Influencer Network (WIN) comprising colleagues who support the planning and rollout of wellbeing activities across multiple locations. This grassroots involvement was crucial for embedding the program throughout the organization. Additionally, FWD conducted a wellbeing inventory to benchmark their existing strategies against industry best practices and utilized ongoing feedback mechanisms, such as pulse surveys, to continuously refine their approach. The results of the FWD LiveLife program have been significant. Perceived wellbeing among employees increased from 6.4 out of 10 in 2021 to 7.6 in 2023. Furthermore, 89% of employees reported changing their behaviors to improve their wellbeing, marking a 5% increase since the program's inception. The leadership's commitment to wellbeing has also fostered a culture shift, with 86% of managers indicating that the wellbeing strategy aids them in better supporting their teams. This comprehensive strategy not only enhanced employee engagement but also contributed to reduced absenteeism and presenteeism, ultimately leading to a more productive workforce. Wells Fargo, another client, faced similar challenges in employee wellbeing and engaged Aon to support their wellbeing strategy. Aon assisted Wells Fargo in leveraging data from an employee wellbeing survey, which identified lack of time and stigma as major barriers to engagement. This insight informed the design of their wellbeing program, which launched in February 2024, focusing on physical, emotional, financial, social, and personal wellbeing. Aons support helped Wells Fargo establish a team of volunteer wellbeing champions, enhancing employee engagement and participation in wellbeing initiatives. Both FWD and Wells Fargo's strategies underscore the importance of leadership involvement, data-driven decision-making, and a sustained commitment to employee wellbeing, demonstrating that tailored wellbeing programs can lead to measurable improvements in employee health and organizational performance.
