Aluwave AB, based in Mölndal, specializes in designing and supplying intelligent modules and lighting systems utilizing LED technology. The company faced a significant challenge in scaling its innovative product, Alunat™, which enhances LED performance by replacing traditional polymer layers with heat-conductive ceramic, thereby reducing the temperature on the LED chip. Despite recognizing the potential of their technology across various sectors, Aluwave lacked the necessary resources and support to advance their growth.

To address these challenges, Aluwave received crucial backing from the Chalmers Innovation Seed Fund and its partner, Chalmers University, along with resources from the European Commission. This support enabled Aluwave to evolve from a nascent idea into a recognized player in the cleantech industry, earning a nomination as one of the 50 most promising Nordic cleantech companies by Reuters.

As a result of this tailored support, Aluwave is now expanding its reach into new areas, including research on light quality and its effects on productivity in the forestry industry. This strategic pivot not only showcases the versatility of their technology but also positions Aluwave for further growth and innovation in the market.
