Orqa, based in Osijek, Croatia, specializes in designing equipment for First Person View (FPV) drone piloting and advanced Remote Reality (RR) applications. The company initially focused on the high-performance FPV racing sector, where elite pilots required top-tier gear. However, Orqa has since expanded its offerings to develop a comprehensive FPV technology stack, including antennas, radio controllers, headsets, and low-latency video transmission systems. This strategic pivot allows them to cater to a broader market, including the defense sector, which demands European-made components.

One of the unique challenges Orqa faced was the need to maintain high-quality engineering while scaling their operations. They pride themselves on conducting nearly all engineering in-house, which is rare in the FPV market. This commitment to quality has attracted talent to Osijek, transforming it into a hub for engineering expertise. The company received early investment from DayOne Capital, a Hungarian venture capital fund supported by the European Investment Fund (EIF), which recognized Orqa's potential without requiring extensive validation.

Orqa aims to lead in the robotics sector, believing that technologies developed for defense will have significant civilian applications. They are currently raising Series A funding to expand their manufacturing capabilities and launch new products. Additionally, Orqa is actively involved in education, partnering with over 500 schools across Croatia to introduce STEM concepts through drone technology. This initiative not only fosters interest in engineering among students but also equips them with practical skills in technology and problem-solving.

Through these efforts, Orqa is positioned to unlock new market opportunities and drive innovation across various sectors, including agriculture and logistics, by providing versatile components that can be adapted for multiple applications.
