which was backed by a guarantee from the European Investment
Full Credential Description
HiFilm Productions, a Romanian media production company, faced significant cash flow difficulties during a period of growth. The challenge stemmed from the gap between the high production costs incurred upfront and the delayed final payments received after project completion. This financial strain threatened the stability of the business, which specializes in a wide range of production services, including documentaries and advertisements for major brands like Coca-Cola and Danone.
To address these financial challenges, HiFilm sought a loan from Libra Internet Bank, which was backed by a guarantee from the European Investment Fund (EIF) under the Cultural & Creative Sectors Guarantee Facility (CCS GF). This tailored financial solution was crucial for HiFilm, as traditional banking options in Romania offered limited support for the unique needs of the media production sector. The financing provided the necessary stability for the company to consolidate its operations and continue its growth trajectory.
As a result of this support, HiFilm Productions has been able to maintain a strong portfolio of projects in both Romanian and international cinema, employing eight staff members and serving clients across Europe. The founder, Ada Solomon, emphasized the importance of this financing, stating that without it, the company would have struggled to achieve the stability needed to manage ongoing projects effectively.
