Full Credential Description
Peris Costumes, a company with a rich history dating back to 1856, specializes in designing, producing, and renting costumes for theatre, cinema, television, and advertising. Under new management, the company has experienced significant growth, expanding from just five employees in 2013 to over 80 today, with production sites in Spain and Portugal and a presence in six European countries. In 2017, Peris Costumes was involved in approximately 85 different productions, resulting in a doubling of turnover compared to the previous year.
To support this rapid expansion and meet increasing demand, Peris Costumes sought financing through CREA SGR and CERSA, which was backed by an EIF guarantee under the EUs Cultural & Creative Sectors program. This financial support enabled the company to acquire new stock, contributing to their impressive collection of over 3.5 million garments stored across 21,000 square meters. Their costumes have been featured in major productions such as "Assassins Creed," "Murder on the Orient Express," and the Netflix series "Marco Polo."
As part of their growth strategy, Peris Costumes is also planning to establish new facilities in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Germany. They are innovating their logistics and organization processes, including implementing a new barcode labeling system to efficiently manage their extensive collection. Currently, the company estimates that they are involved in around 35-40% of European productions, highlighting their significant impact on the industry.
