Full Credential Description

Jamnik, a Slovenian company specializing in printed packaging, faced a significant challenge in meeting increasing customer demand due to limitations in their existing printing machinery. Founded in 1988, Jamnik had developed a reputation for producing high-quality die-cut packaging, but by 2006, as they expanded their operations, they recognized the need for modernization to maintain competitiveness in the market.

To address this issue, Jamnik sought financial support from the Slovenski Podjetniški Sklad (Slovene Enterprise Fund – SEF) to purchase a new 7-colour offset printing machine. The company director, Ms. Polona Dolenec, highlighted that the investment was crucial as they could no longer fulfill all orders in-house with their outdated equipment. The financing, backed by SEF and the European Investment Fund (EIF) through the Investment Plan for Europe, not only reduced their financing costs but also enhanced their operational efficiency.

As a result of this strategic investment, Jamnik achieved a remarkable increase in productivity, with a reported improvement of approximately 16% per employee. This advancement positions Jamnik on a path to becoming the largest producer of laminated packaging in Slovenia and aims to expand its market share in the European printed packaging sector. The support from SEF and the EIF has been instrumental in facilitating this growth and enhancing the company's competitive edge in a demanding industry.
