Full Credential Description
Dominique Torres, the founder of La fabric sans gluten, faced significant challenges in launching her food company, particularly in the context of social and economic solidarity. After becoming unemployed in 2013, she recognized an opportunity to address the lack of professional experience available to young professionals in the agri-food sector, especially in the gluten-free market. This realization stemmed from her internship at an integration workshop, where she noted the difficulties faced by individuals seeking to enter the industry. Additionally, she was motivated by the increasing prevalence of gluten intolerance among her friends and family.
To bring her vision to life, Dominique aimed to create a business that not only produced organic, gluten-free products using locally sourced ingredients but also provided job opportunities for young professionals in the agro-food industry. However, to fully develop her business idea, she required substantial financing. She successfully secured an EU-guaranteed loan through France Active, which is backed by the European Investment Fund (EIF). This financial support was crucial for her project, as Dominique expressed gratitude for the loan, stating that it enabled her to build her business in a way that would not have been possible otherwise.
Through this initiative, La fabric sans gluten not only contributes to the growing demand for gluten-free products but also plays a role in addressing recruitment challenges within the agro-food sector, thereby fostering economic inclusion and professional development for young individuals in the industry.
