Full Credential Description
Stefanie Degle, a passionate shoemaker from Waldkraiburg, Bavaria, Germany, faced the challenge of establishing her own business in handcrafted physiological shoes after completing her apprenticeship and obtaining a masters degree in 2013. To overcome the financial barriers associated with starting her venture, she utilized the KfW Banks ERP Gründerkredit StartGeld program, which is supported by an EU guarantee under the EIFs Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). This funding enabled her to purchase essential equipment for her workshop, including sewing, stitching, and grinding machines.
At her shop, the DS Feet Centre, Stefanie produces four to five pairs of custom shoes each week, ranging from slippers to boots. She employs advanced technology, such as a 2D scanner and a 3D footprint machine, to analyze her clients' walking patterns and take precise measurements, ensuring that each pair of shoes meets the individual needs of her customers. This tailored approach not only enhances customer satisfaction but also addresses the critical relationship between foot health and overall body wellness, as Stefanie emphasizes the importance of proper footwear in maintaining a healthy foundation for the body. With her partner's support, who is also a footwear manufacturer, they are optimistic about the future growth and operational success of the DS Feet Centre.
