Medtech, a French company specializing in surgical technology and medical robotics, faced the challenge of enhancing the safety and reliability of neurological interventions. Founded in 2002 by Bertin Nahum, the company aimed to improve surgical precision without compromising established protocols. The introduction of their ROSA™ robotic devices, particularly ROSA™ Brain and ROSA™ Spine, was pivotal in addressing these niche issues. ROSA™ Brain functions like a GPS for the brain, allowing surgeons to plan interventions using preoperative data, which significantly aids in the precise positioning and handling of surgical instruments.

To support Medtech's growth and the development of ROSA™ Spine, SAS JEREMIE LR, a financial intermediary under the JEREMIE Languedoc Roussillon initiative, provided co-investment. This funding was crucial as Medtech sought to expand the introduction of ROSA™ Spine across Europe and the United States. The investment not only facilitated the advancement of innovative surgical solutions but also positioned Medtech as a leader in the medical robotics field, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes in complex surgeries such as those for epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and tumors.
