The European Investment Fund (EIF) has made a significant investment of 75 million under InvestEU in Zencap European Sustainable Transition II (ZEST II), a private debt fund focused on mezzanine financing for energy transition projects across Europe. This investment is part of a broader effort to mobilize private investments in the green economy, aligning with the objectives of the European Green Deal. ZEST II successfully closed at 255 million, surpassing its initial hard cap of 250 million, which will enhance its capacity to finance a diverse portfolio of impactful green projects.
ZEST II aims to support renewable energy and infrastructure projects that contribute to the EUs climate goals, specifically targeting medium-sized assets and initiatives in wind, solar, biogas, and energy storage.
