Full Credential Description

The European Investment Fund (EIF) partnered with Quotanda to address the significant challenge of access to education financing for students pursuing digital and managerial skills in Spain, Portugal, and Germany. The specific issue faced was the difficulty for over 6,500 students to secure financing for their education, particularly in a rapidly evolving job market that demands new skills.

To tackle this problem, the EIF provided a capped guarantee of €10.2 million through Quotanda, which is expected to mobilize more than €51 million in student financing. This initiative is part of the InvestEU Skills and Education Portfolio Guarantee Product, aimed at promoting reskilling and upskilling to enhance Europe’s competitiveness. The partnership involves collaboration with six educational providers, including two prominent business schools, IESE Business School and Esade Business & Law School, along with four coding bootcamp providers: Code For All, Hack a Boss, Adalab, and Le Wagon.

The tailored solution not only increases the volume of tuition fee deferrals and income-sharing agreements offered to students but also ensures equal opportunities for all, regardless of their financial background. This initiative is a crucial step towards promoting socio-economic diversity and inclusion within the education sector. By expanding financing options, Quotanda aims to break down barriers and foster opportunities for learners across Europe, ultimately equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in the job market.
