In the case of Le Tate Matte, an educational initiative in Parma, Italy, the founders faced significant financial barriers when attempting to establish their kindergarten. The trio of experienced teachersSimona, Nicoletta, and Elisawere motivated to create a unique learning environment that combined traditional pedagogical methods with innovative approaches inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia. However, the high financial risk associated with starting their own business initially held them back.
To overcome these challenges, they sought financial assistance and secured an EU-guaranteed loan through Credito Emiliano (CREDEM), supported by the Investment Plan for Europe. This funding enabled them to renovate their facility, which included essential improvements such as painting, flooring, and purchasing new toys, all crucial for creating a safe and engaging environment for children aged 3 months to 6 years.
As a result of this tailored financial solution, Le Tate Matte successfully expanded its capacity to host 46 children in a 600m² space. The kindergarten not only provides traditional educational activities but also offers diverse workshops, swimming classes, and nature-related experiences, fostering a holistic development approach. The founders are now considering further expansion to include two floors, enhancing their ability to serve the community. The initiative has not only fulfilled their dream of running their own educational establishment but has also established a strong network of relationships among children, educators, and parents, contributing to a vibrant community atmosphere.
