Zulj recognized the need for a comprehensive farm
Full Credential Description
Agrivi, a company based in Croatia, was founded by Matija Zulj in 2013 with the aim of addressing significant challenges in the agricultural sector, particularly the lack of accessible best practices and affordable software for farmers. After experiencing these challenges firsthand while running his own blueberry farm, Zulj recognized the need for a comprehensive farm management tool that could facilitate data-driven decision-making. Agrivi's solution combines agricultural expertise with technology, resulting in a software platform that allows farmers to efficiently plan, monitor, and analyze all farming activities, including tillage, planting, crop protection, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting.
The tailored solution provided by Agrivi not only enhances productivity but also enables farmers to share information and best practices with one another. The software's regular monitoring and data analysis features help farmers protect their crops and yields from diseases, leading to more sustainable and profitable agricultural production. Agrivi's innovative approach garnered recognition, earning the title of World's Best Startup in 2014.
With the support of Southern Central Ventures, which recognized the potential impact of Agrivi's software, the company received financing that allowed it to accelerate growth. This investment nearly doubled Agrivi's staff and expanded its market outreach. As a result, Agrivi now serves over 30,000 clients across 150 countries, demonstrating the significant impact of its tailored solutions in the agricultural ICT sector.
