Full Credential Description

At it Again!, a Dublin-based company founded by Maite and Niall, faced the challenge of scaling their business after successfully launching their first title, ‘Romping through Ulysses’. The couple aimed to make classic Irish literature more accessible and enjoyable, but without financial support, they struggled to take on new customers or fulfill large bulk orders, which hindered their growth potential.

To address this issue, they turned to Microfinance Ireland, which provided them with a loan guaranteed by the European Investment Fund (EIF) through the EU Employment and Social Innovation programme. This programme is designed to support vulnerable groups in developing their businesses. The financial assistance enabled At it Again! to scale up production volumes, allowing them to produce at a lower cost and meet larger retail orders comfortably.

As a result of this tailored solution, At it Again! was able to rebrand their books and other products, with aspirations to hire two part-time employees in 2017 to manage the increased workload. The company plans to expand its range of guidebooks and related products while enhancing its presence in the Irish tourist market and building a customer base in the United States and the UK. If successful, Maite aims to transition to working full-time on the project, further solidifying the business's growth trajectory.
