CEA Estintori secured an EU-guaranteed loan from the Italian banking
Full Credential Description
CEA Estintori S.p.a., an Italian company specializing in fire safety and security equipment, faced the challenge of developing an innovative project called CEACOM. This project aimed to integrate advanced technology for fire extinguishing with software and hardware designed to monitor fire-fighting and anti-explosion systems continuously. The primary issue was the need for a more efficient fire extinguishing system that could outperform traditional extinguishers, thereby enhancing safety for users in emergency situations.
To address this challenge, CEA Estintori secured an EU-guaranteed loan from the Italian banking group BPER, which was backed by the European Investment Fund (EIF) under the Investment Plan for Europe. This financial support was crucial in financing the research and development phase of the CEACOM project. The project was developed in collaboration with Professor Massimo Rudan from the University of Bologna and coordinated by Mr. Faedi Fabrizio, an expert in innovation and R&D projects.
As a result of this initiative, CEA Estintori was able to hire seven additional employees between 2015 and 2016, increasing its workforce to a total of 121. The company plans to further enhance the functionalities of CEACOM and expand into new markets, as well as continue to bolster its research and development efforts through new staff recruitment and partnerships with research institutes and universities. This strategic growth not only demonstrates the impact of the EU's support but also highlights the company's commitment to innovation in the fire safety sector.
