Biotech GmbH, established in 2006, has emerged as a significant player in the Hungarian medical market, specializing in the production and trade of orthopedic, trauma, and spine implants. The company, led by Dr. Alkaysi Ghazi, a trained orthopedist, faced a critical challenge as its initial production facility became inadequate for the high-quality manufacturing processes required for its products. Recognizing the need for expansion to support the development of new products and services, Biotech sought financial assistance.
In 2010, Biotech approached UniCredit Hungary and secured an EU-guaranteed loan of EUR 546,000. This funding enabled the company to purchase a new factory, warehouse, and office space in Diósd, near Budapest, and to establish a new research and development center. The expansion not only increased Biotech's production capacity but also provided the infrastructure necessary to hire an additional 28 employees in 2011, thereby enhancing its operational capabilities and market competitiveness.
