MW wind farm in south-west Estonia. This investment was supported by EU

Full Credential Description

Energate, a company based in Tallinn, Estonia, specializes in last-mile natural gas distribution and is expanding into renewable energy through wind farming projects. The CEO, Hardi Sui, identified a need to diversify the energy offerings to meet the evolving demands of consumers. Since its establishment in 2008, Energate has successfully supplied natural gas and has now set its sights on integrating clean energy solutions.

To facilitate this transition, Energate partnered with BaltCap, a venture capital and private equity firm, which provided the necessary capital to develop an 18MW wind farm in south-west Estonia. This investment was supported by EU funds, enabling Energate to realize its vision of becoming a leader in renewable energy. The company has also played a significant role in consolidating Estonia's fragmented gas network, operating over 100 kilometers of pipeline and positioning itself as the third largest gas distribution company in the country.

Through this strategic investment and expansion into wind energy, Energate aims to be at the forefront of the renewable energy sector in the region, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable energy solutions while continuing to meet the needs of its natural gas customers.
