Núria, a choreographer, artistic director, and flamenco dancer, faced the challenge of establishing her own dance school in Sant Esteve de Palautordera, Barcelona. When she opened the school in July 2007, she started with just 20 pupils. To support her vision of expanding the school, Núria secured a micro-credit of EUR 25,000 from MicroBank, which was instrumental in refurbishing the premises and laying the groundwork for her business.
With the financial support, Núria was able to grow her staff from six to ten employees, reflecting her commitment to providing quality dance education. As a result of her efforts and the initial investment, the number of pupils increased significantly, surpassing 60 students. Núria's short-term ambition is to elevate her dance school to a flagship status, further increasing enrollment and enhancing the school's reputation in the community.
