Full Credential Description
Liftra ApS, a Danish company specializing in equipment for the wind turbine industry, faced significant challenges in servicing wind turbines, particularly when it came to exchanging heavy components like gearboxes and generators. The company, founded in 2003, had developed a patented self-hoisting crane designed specifically for this purpose. However, in 2014, Liftra required additional financing to partially fund the production of these cranes to enhance their service business.
To address this need, Liftra secured a EUR 1.0 million loan from Nordea Bank in Denmark. This financial support was crucial in enabling Liftra to manufacture its first self-hoisting cranes, which subsequently played a pivotal role in kick-starting their rapidly growing service operations. The introduction of these cranes not only improved Liftra's efficiency in handling heavy equipment but also positioned the company as a key player in the wind turbine servicing market, allowing them to expand their reach and capabilities in the industry.
