Full Credential Description
Medtech, a French company specializing in surgical technology and medical robotics, faced the challenge of enhancing the safety and reliability of neurological interventions. Founded in 2002 by Bertin Nahum, the company aimed to improve surgical precision without compromising established protocols. Medtech developed the ROSA robotic devices, including ROSA Brain and ROSA Spine, which serve as advanced surgical assistants. These devices allow surgeons to plan interventions using preoperative data, significantly improving the accuracy of procedures for conditions such as epilepsy, Parkinsons disease, and tumors.
To support its growth and the development of ROSA Spine, Medtech received co-investment from SAS JEREMIE LR, a financial intermediary under the JEREMIE Languedoc Roussillon initiative. This investment was crucial for the introduction of ROSA Spine across Europe and the United States, enabling Medtech to broaden the use of its innovative medical technology. The unique features of the ROSA devices, such as a robotic arm with six degrees of freedom and advanced haptic capabilities, enhance both patient comfort and surgical outcomes, positioning Medtech as a leader in the field of robotic-assisted surgery.
