Full Credential Description

Vrigsted Efterskole, a specialized private high school in Denmark for dyslexic students, faced the challenge of providing adequate educational resources and facilities tailored to the unique needs of its students. The school aimed to enhance its science education offerings by developing modern science laboratories, which would not only improve the learning environment but also support the school's mission of helping dyslexic students succeed academically.

To address this need, Vrigsted Efterskole secured an EU-guaranteed loan from Merkur, which enabled the construction of high-quality laboratories equipped with modern technology. This investment not only facilitated the development of the new facilities but also created two new jobs and five 'Flexjob' positions, specifically designed for individuals with health-related disabilities.

The results of these initiatives have been significant. The school has seen a steady increase in enrollment, growing from 56 students at its inception to 111 in 2018. The tailored educational approach, combined with the new facilities, has allowed students to reintegrate into the mainstream educational system successfully. Many students have achieved good results in national examinations, gaining admission to technical schools and universities, thereby demonstrating the effectiveness of the school's specialized programs and the positive impact of the new science laboratories on their educational outcomes.
