Full Credential Description

Nutricia Deva, a baby food producer based in Nove Mesto nad Metuji, Czech Republic, faced significant challenges after being acquired by Arx Equity Partners in 2017. Previously a subsidiary of Danone, the company lacked an independent management structure, which posed a risk to its operations and future growth. The absence of key roles, including General Manager, CFO, and various departmental positions, hindered the company's ability to strategize and execute its business plans effectively.

To address these issues, Arx Equity Partners prioritized the establishment of a robust management team and the creation of essential departments. This investment in human resources was critical for the company's survival, as it enabled Nutricia Deva to transition from a subsidiary to an independent brand, now known as Deva. The restructuring not only prevented potential shutdowns that could have resulted in the loss of over one hundred jobs but also positioned the company for growth.

As a result of these strategic changes, Nutricia Deva has successfully expanded its operations, exporting products to 16 countries and exploring new markets in South America, Asia, and Africa. The company is also innovating by developing new product lines, such as pouches, and enhancing its packaging capabilities beyond glass jars. The financial support from the EIF through the COSME Equity Facility for Growth and Risk Capital Resources was instrumental in facilitating this transformation and ensuring the company's long-term viability.
