Full Credential Description
Raoul, a passionate cook from the Netherlands, faced the challenge of realizing his dream of owning a restaurant after moving to France. He discovered a charming rural farmhouse in Vaucluse that he envisioned transforming into a warm and friendly dining establishment. To finance this venture, Raoul sought a loan from the financial intermediary SIAGI, which is backed by the European Investment Fund (EIF) under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP).
With a loan of EUR 149,000, Raoul successfully launched his restaurant, Le Grand Pré, in Roaix. This financial support enabled him to grow his business rapidly, leading to the employment of five staff members in both the dining and kitchen areas. Raoul is optimistic about further expansion, with plans to hire an additional two employees soon. The loan not only facilitated the establishment of his restaurant but also positioned him on a path that could potentially lead to Michelin-star recognition in the future.
