Full Credential Description

Exovite, a Spanish SME based in Zaragoza, specializes in technological innovation for medical tools and procedures, particularly in the field of traumatology and musculoskeletal treatments. The company faced challenges in scaling its innovative system for immobilization and rehabilitation, which utilizes advanced technologies like 3D scanning and printing to create lightweight, ergonomic splints. These splints are designed to enhance patient recovery by allowing doctors to monitor rehabilitation remotely through dedicated software and an electro-stimulator, significantly reducing the need for frequent clinic visits.

To address its growth needs, Exovite sought financial support through a loan guaranteed by CERSA, facilitated by the European Investment Fund (EIF) under the Investment Plan for Europe. This funding enabled Exovite to expand its workforce from eight to twenty employees, allowing the team to transition from part-time to full-time work on their project. The financial backing not only supported the hiring of four new employees but also positioned Exovite for further expansion, including plans to install new 3D printers in clinics that would reduce the splint production time from seven hours to just five minutes.

As a result of these initiatives, Exovite has already implemented its system in seven hospitals across Spain and is looking to expand its reach to international markets, including Israel and the USA. The company has received twelve international awards, highlighting its innovative contributions to healthcare technology. By the end of 2016, Exovite planned to move to larger offices and enhance its sales and marketing efforts, indicating a robust trajectory for future growth and impact in the healthcare sector.
