Full Credential Description

Max Fame Group, an international luxury packaging manufacturer, recently established its first UK base in Trafford, Greater Manchester, following a significant investment of up to £6.8 million. The company, which specializes in sustainable packaging for various sectors including electronics, food, drink, and cosmetics, has a global presence with factories in China, Vietnam, and Thailand. The decision to expand into Greater Manchester was supported by MIDAS, the region's Inward Investment Agency, which aims to attract substantial new investments.

The specific challenges faced by Max Fame included the need for a strategic location that aligns with their commitment to low carbon initiatives and sustainable practices. Greater Manchester was identified as a high-potential area for sustainable packaging, bolstered by a robust cluster of over 700 companies in the food, drink, and packaging sectors, which offers advanced technology and skilled labor.

To address these challenges, Max Fame signed a 10-year lease for a 21,500 sq ft logistics building at Carrington Gateway and committed to an initial capital investment of £1 million. This move is expected to create 100 jobs over the next three years, contributing significantly to the local economy. The collaboration with MIDAS and the Manchester China Forum was crucial in securing this investment, showcasing the positive impact of foreign inward investment on job creation and local opportunities.

David Hsieh, President of Max Fame, emphasized that Greater Manchester's focus on low carbon initiatives and its deep talent pool made it an ideal location for their global supply chain. The investment not only enhances Max Fame's operational capabilities but also aligns with the region's low carbon agenda, promising substantial contributions to the community and the environment.
