Full Credential Description
In 2016, Australian tech company SafetyCulture selected Manchester as its EMEA hub, marking a strategic decision to enhance its presence in the UK market, one of its largest operational territories. By February 2024, SafetyCulture expanded its Manchester operations by relocating to a 10,000 sq ft office in the Bond building, reflecting its commitment to growth in the region. The company, known for its digital workplace operations platform that improves workplace safety, quality, and efficiency, serves over 18,000 businesses in the UK, including notable clients like the NHS and British Airways.
SafetyCulture's expansion in Manchester was supported by MIDAS, which facilitated two key projects aimed at building client-facing teams and increasing the company's property footprint. MIDAS provided essential support by introducing SafetyCulture to contacts at local universities and professional organizations, aiding in business development efforts. Additionally, they connected SafetyCulture with the Life Science team to explore opportunities within the NHS and the broader healthcare sector, and helped the company engage with relevant digital and tech networking groups.
The results of this collaboration have been significant. SafetyCulture has successfully integrated into the local ecosystem, gaining access to a rich talent pool and enhancing its business development capabilities. Alex Brooks-Sykes, Head of GTM, UKIMEA, emphasized the advantages of being based in Manchester, noting the city's excellent international connections and its proximity to customers, which have collectively bolstered SafetyCulture's operational effectiveness in the region.
