Bio Regional
Full Credential Description
Bioregional developed a scalable deep retrofit solution for Adamson Court, a social housing development in Bedfordshire, UK. The primary challenge faced by the client, Places for People, was the need to minimize energy costs for residents while ensuring the solution was financially viable and capable of extending the life of their assets. The deep retrofit model aimed to address the difficulties associated with high energy prices impacting customers, particularly in hard-to-treat properties.
The tailored solution involved a comprehensive approach to deep retrofitting that not only focused on reducing energy consumption but also included strategies for generating income for the social landlord. This innovative model was designed to meet the specific objectives set by the client, ensuring that the retrofit was both effective and sustainable.
As a result of this initiative, the project successfully drove down energy use in the properties, providing significant financial relief to residents. The implementation of this deep retrofit model not only enhanced the living conditions for the tenants but also positioned Places for People as a leader in sustainable housing solutions.
