Full Credential Description
Repsol faced niche issues related to inefficient daily tasks such as content summarization, extracting key information from meetings, managing emails, and creating persuasive responses to requests for proposals (RFPs). These routine activities consumed significant time, limiting employees’ ability to focus on strategic and value-added work, which hindered productivity and work quality. To address these challenges, Repsol implemented a tailored solution by deploying Microsoft Copilot across its organization with the support of Accenture, Microsoft, and Avanade. This AI-driven initiative enabled employees to record meetings and generate summaries highlighting key tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities efficiently. Departments such as finance could now analyze RFP responses more effectively or create them from scratch using Copilot’s capabilities, leading to improved response quality and faster turnaround times.
Quantifiable results included an average time saving of 121 minutes per week per employee after four months of adoption. The AI-enhanced workflows delivered a 16.2% increase in output quality, with measurable improvements in writing, communication, originality, and design evaluations. Employee engagement and confidence also rose significantly; prior to the pilot, only 20.2% of participants frequently used generative AI tools, whereas post-implementation, over 60% expressed a desire to continue using Copilot. Training and support initiatives contributed to a high success rate, evidenced by a 92% Net Promoter Score (NPS) for training sessions and perfect scores for help hubs. The overall impact fostered a mindset shift within Repsol, reinforcing a culture of continuous AI integration and innovation, with plans to expand the technology to all 25,000 employees and further optimize workflows across planning, forecasting, application maintenance, and incident resolution.
