Full Credential Description
The Dutch Flower Group (DFG), a family-run wholesale floral distributor, faced significant challenges after rapid scaling, specifically in integrating numerous floral wholesalers operating under the DFG umbrella. The client needed a solution that could unify these diverse operations while allowing each wholesaler to preserve their individual brand identities. The tailored solution involved implementing one of the earliest versions of Commerce Cloud, Version 2, which enabled DFG to create a seamless digital experience across the multiple stakeholders. This platform allowed six individual wholesalers, each managing their own online shop, to operate under a shared cloud platform, improving operational cohesion and data insight.
The implementation resulted in enhanced visibility into the entire business ecosystem, facilitating more efficient management and logistics. By maintaining brand independence within a unified digital framework, the client was able to improve coordination and streamline their logistics operations. The new system supported the delivery of 10 million bouquets weekly worldwide, reflecting significant logistical complexity and scale. This tailored e-commerce infrastructure addressed DFG's niche issue of scaling digital operations while preserving individual brand identities, ultimately enabling them to handle large-scale floral logistics more effectively and improving their capacity to meet growing customer demands.
