During the pandemic, the company adopted a daily planning cycle supported by a combined SAP IBP and Accenture Supply Chain Scenario Planning-as-a-Service, which utilized templated scenarios to quickly reallocate nut supply in response to shifting demand patterns and local lockdown restrictions. The implementation resulted in an immediate 10% improvement in forecast accuracy within six months, significantly enhancing inventory optimization. Additionally, the deployment of SAP S/4HANA in the cloud further strengthened analytics and predictive capabilities. As a result, Blue Diamond Growers transitioned from a fragmented system approach to a fully integrated, cloud-based supply chain, allowing for better demand management, higher operational agility, and a foundation for future AI-driven harvest predictions.
