Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering (LOROS) faced several challenges regarding the implementation of apprenticeships within their organization. Initially, they lacked clarity about the apprenticeship levy and its potential applications. Additionally, they were uncertain about the opportunities available to them as a potential provider of apprenticeships, particularly in terms of income generation. Furthermore, LOROS sought to understand how apprenticeships could be utilized to develop their existing workforce, especially concerning succession planning.
